When I decided to start getting back into better shape in December, 2011, I was fortunate enough to find Nate as my personal trainer. From December to May, 2012 I saw incredible results and really enjoyed the workouts. At the time, Nate was also studying to become MAT-certified in Chicago. We talked often about MAT.
Four years before working out with Nate I had injured my left shoulder exercising and could not lift my left arm above my shoulder. It was always a frustration for me but I had resigned myself that this was just the way my left shoulder was going to be. Nate suggested that MAT might help. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I agreed.
After just one session with Nate, I was amazed at the results. I could lift my arm above my shoulder with minimal pain. I was flabbergasted and ecstatic! Unfortunately the shoulder started getting a bit tight again after a few days. However, I continued to see Nate and he used MAT on my shoulder. Each time my shoulder got better. At my fourth session he did something that “cured” me and got my shoulder working 100%! I couldn’t believe it! It’s been seven months now and my shoulder is still as good as new thanks to Nate and MAT.
Since then, Nate has earned the credentials of a certified MAT Specialist and moved from Indiana where I live back to Tucson, AZ. I still miss Nate and the skills he has learned using MAT.

I met Nate while he was training in Indiana and I loved how he helped my problem areas. None of us are getting any younger. I sit at a desk all day working on a computer and then try to work out at the YMCA as much as possible. It seemed like I always had some aches or pains for Nate to work on. After a session with him and his magic hands, I felt much better. MAT worked for me and I miss the technique he used!

I’ve had chronic low back pain for years. I’ve tried everything from massage, chiropractic adjustments, stretching, exercising, acupuncture, acupressure…you name it, I’ve tried it. I’ve hired personal trainers and have met with various pain specialists looking for help. Some of these things were temporarily helpful but it never seemed to fix the problem long term. There were days the pain was so bad I was not able to get out of bed. And when the pain was just unbearable I would see my doctor and get pain medication. Taking medication is not something I wanted to do but had no choice at times. I felt like a prisoner in my own body. I felt like I was missing out on life and not able to fully enjoy my life.
Someone told me about MAT. Honestly, I was slightly skeptical but was so desperate to feel better I was willing to try just about anything. I figured I had nothing to lose. But I was also told there was no one certified in Tucson. I decided to do some research on my own and was thrilled to find Nate.
The first time I went to see him he immediately made me feel comfortable. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He seemed genuinely interested in helping me and I could tell he was really passionate about this work.
I was in so much pain I could barely get on the table. After just one session I had more pain relief than I had experienced in years. When I arrived my pain level on a scale of 1 to 10 was a very uncomfortable 8. When I left there it was a 2. On a “good day” my normal pain level was a 5 or 6. I hadn’t had a pain level as low as 2 in years. I felt so good, it made me realize I had gotten used to living with a high level of constant pain. No one should have to live that way.
A few days later my back started to hurt again. I went to see Nate for a second session and had great results again. Now after several treatments I am seeing the results lasting longer and longer each time. Last week I felt so good the entire week I felt a whole new level of happiness. I couldn’t remember the last time I felt that good for that many days in a row. Living in constant pain takes a toll on a person, not just physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
I am deeply grateful I have found Nate and appreciate how hard he studied to learn this work. He has given me hope that there is a way to fix my problem and get rid of this pain once and for all. I feel like he is helping me get my life back.
